Lucid Express is a five-piece dream-pop band from Hong Kong who craft soaring, melancholic rock. Their sophomore album, *Instant Comfort*, following their self-titled debut in 2021, is due out February 20, 2026 via Kanine Records. Featuring their most intricate arrangements to date, Lucid Express enlisted iconic shoegaze figure Kurt Feldman (The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, The Depreciation Guild) for mixing and mastering, resulting in a sound of exceptional clarity and intensity. *Instant Comfort* was shaped during lengthy trans-Pacific recording sessions between the band in Hong Kong and Feldman in New York – a shared pursuit of perfection that unfolded from midnight to dawn. Characterized by a muted melancholy and hopeful romanticism, these new tracks explore feelings of disorientation. Ethereal melodies are backed by a powerful wall of guitars: listen to “Promise Me” and “Something Blue.”
