Terrain vague (LP)

Description

Vinyl reissue of the album released in 2004. "Terrain Vague" is the sixth official album by Les Ogres de Barback, composed during their 2003 tour with the Fanfare du Belgistan. Carried by the flow of their experiences, Les Ogres delivered what was their most beautiful studio album at the time. "Terrain Vague" represented a form of culmination, with the siblings demonstrating a new maturity, as one might have said before the expression became overused. The orchestrations had never been so rich and precise, Fred's voice so steady, the emotions so finely transcribed. The spirit of Les Ogres at its best permeates the album. It contains a number of songs that have become classics in their repertoire, including "Même pas mal," "L’Arménienne," "Monsieur perd ses copains [with JOSEM, a youth symphony orchestra]," "Madame Solène svp," "Salut à vous," and the emblematic "3-0" with a host of artist friends [Sanseverino, Les Fabulous Trobadors, Massilia Sound System, Mouss & Hakim, Les Hurlements d’Léo, Bombes 2 Bal, Loïc Lantoine…]. The public was not mistaken and made this beautiful record their biggest success [with the exception of the Pitt Ocha albums], crossing the symbolic fifty-thousand copy threshold at the beginning of a lean period for the music market.
