In 1997, Les Ogres de Barback recorded Rue du Temps, their first self-produced album. After a stay at the Café de la Danse for the album release, the subsequent tours took them through bars and venues across France, opening for La Tordue, Les Têtes Raides, Thomas Fersen, and Jacques Higelin, as well as performing at the Francofolies festival and the Printemps de Bourges.
