Description

Let’s say it clearly: the Ogres had a wonderful time celebrating their 20 years of career! And you can hear it on this double live album. They delighted in the warmth, energy, and richness of the artistic as well as human exchange with the excellent musicians of Eyo nlé, a Beninese brass band capable of turning into a formidable gospel choir. They also delighted in sharing the stage with long-time friends [Têtes Raides, La Rue Kétanou, Tryo, Hurlements d Léo, Debout sur le Zinc, Loïc Lantoine, Benoît Morel ...]. But also with less expected artists, those great ladies of French chanson that are Anne Sylvestre and Francesca Solleville. And with new traveling companions: Melissmell, Winston McAnuff and Fixi, Frédéric Fromet, Guillaume Lopez, Camille Simeray or Timike. And then, of course, the Ogrillons, already present on the Pitt Ocha albums. That’s why this live recording turned into a double album. Because it was impossible for the Ogres not to keep a record of those moments... They also delighted, of course, thanks to the welcome they received from the audience. Everywhere, at each of the 70 dates, the reception was impressively frenzied and full of shared joy. In short, if the Ogres enjoyed themselves so much, it’s because this anniversary reflected them, revolving around notions that are fundamental to them: encounter and sharing. And if the quality of a celebration is indeed judged by the pleasure taken in being together, then this one is a model of the kind.
