The band's 16th studio album, and once again, it's not the kind of record for a quiet evening at home. Emerging from the West London post-punk scene, Jaz Coleman (vocals), Big Paul Ferguson (drums), Youth (bass), and Geordie (guitar) have, so to speak, redefined the foundations of rock! Since the return of this original line-up in 2009, Spinefarm Records has released 2 albums – Absolute Dissent (2010) and MMXII (2012) – both widely acclaimed by critics and audiences. Listening to a Killing Joke album is never trivial; one is never far from a kind of ritual, especially as these ten new tracks, co-produced by the band and Tom Dalgety (Royal Blood), get straight to the point and are played uncompromisingly with lyrics that hit home. These guys may be "veterans" of the circuit, but they haven't lost their rage. The term "the sound of the earth vomiting" still perfectly describes their music, which remains a true antidote to "mainstream" trends.
