Founding post-punk group formed in Notting Hill in 1979 by Jaz Coleman, Geordie Walker, Youth and Paul Ferguson, their dark experimental style offered both an alternative to the contemporary punk scene and a less aggressive sound than many other post-punk bands. Massively influential on a range of different musical styles, they pioneered the industrial metal style with 1990's Extremities, Dirt And Divers Repressed Emotions.
