A celebration of the 450th anniversary of Michael Praetorius, discover an exceptional selection of works by the famous German composer and his Italian peers by Rias Kammerchor & Capella de la Torre. For their second album in collaboration after Da Pacem, the Rias Kammerchor choir and the Capella de la Torre ensemble come together to celebrate the 450th anniversary of the German master Michael Praetorius with a previously unreleased recording. This album aims to illustrate the fictional journey of Praetorius among his Italian contemporaries. To this end, the musicians offer us a grand interpretation of the works of famous Italian composers, from Monteverdi to Gabrieli. Of course, the great sacred works of Praetorius such as "Meine Seele erhebt den Herren" and "Christ, der du bist der helle Tag" occupy a central place in this selection.
