Description
After more records with Deutsche Harmonia Mundi, and numerous awards including an Opus Klassik for the recording "Una Serata Venexiana" as well as ECHO Klassik awards for their album "Water Music" and "Da Pacem", the ensemble returns to us with a new project with Katharina Bäuml as artistic director.The ensemble performs the famous mass by Francesco Cavalli, interspersed with vocal and instrumental works from the 16th and 17th centuries, most associated with Venice and its surroundings, which influenced Francesco Cavalli in his creative activity and wonderfully enrich the requiem. In these pieces, we find lesser-known composers such as Francesco Manelli (1595-1667), Maurizio Cazzati (1532-1594) or Orlando Di Lasso (1532-1594).
