STRANGE COUNTRY/VINYLE TRANSPARENT COULEUR BOUTEILLE DE COCA

Description

New West Records is proud to present Strange Country, the new full-length album from the young and talented cousin duo Kacy & Clayton. The collection of ten songs was recorded over seven freezing days of the Canadian winter at Ghetto Box Studios, a historic community hall transformed into a studio. Born from a lifetime of deep kinship, the record showcases the purity and stunning beauty of Kacy Anderson's voice, which has been compared to Sandy Denny of Fairport Convention. Only Clayton Linthicum's intricate guitar work, expert time changes, and vocal harmonies could forge the foundation for Kacy's voice to soar even higher — the result being an extremely satisfying and organic album. Drawing from a wide range of inspirations, from the folk scene of Greenwich Village to the ancestral music of the southern Appalachians and the British Isles, the cousins shape songs imbued with these traditions, simultaneously paying homage to and building upon these sounds.
