JOWEE OMICIL is a blower and multi-instrumentalist like no other. Of Haitian origin, born in Montreal and now based in Paris, he recorded his first "international" album in the south of France during a full moon week, in a marathon session with about ten groove activists. In his music where melodic storytelling is essential, his Creole roots blend with gospel, soul, hip hop culture, and world folklores, not to mention nods to his masters, from Charlie Parker to Wayne Shorter to Ornette Coleman.
