The man behind the mask, Jonathan Bree, is back with his sixth studio album, Don't Call It Love. A double album of 17 tracks, Don't Call It Love is an erotic concept work exploring sexuality and featuring collaborations with women in the fields of music, film, photography, and dance. The album set a sultry tone right from the single "Live To Dance," featuring Princess Chelsea, accompanied by a strictly adult-oriented music video that pays homage to Duran Duran's album The Chauffeur, with ballerina and cabaret artist Bella Filbey, whose erotic and suggestive pose is at the center of the striking cover of Don't Call It Love. In addition to Princess Chelsea's contributions on three tracks, it also features Adah Dylan, French artist and photographer Eloïse Labarbe-Lafon, and Rachel Clarke. Comparisons can be made to the dark and nostalgic sounds of New Order and Siouxsie & The Banshees, with Jonathan Bree's sound reaching a melancholic destination infused with the 80s - his signature orchestral arrangements now associated with a dark and austere aesthetic, cinematic instrumentation, and his deep baritone voice.
