The new album by Jonas Kaufmann is a very personal tribute to the immortal melodies of the capital of waltz and operetta. That is why it bears his name: Vienna. For this refined recording that brings together world-famous Viennese hits, only one orchestra was considered: the Vienna Philharmonic; the very varied program is conducted by Ádám Fischer. In the duets, for example, the melody that gave its title to the operetta Sangviennois, Kaufmann is partnered with Rachel Willis Sørensen. This album echoes Jonas Kaufmann's biggest success in France: "Du bist die Welt für mich," a collection of splendors from Berlin operetta.
