The former guitarist of The Smiths follows up on The Messenger: It took him some time to get started, but he seems to be off and running: after his first solo venture last year, Johnny Marr is following up on The Messenger! Titled Playland, the album will be released by Warner Music Group on October 7. The artist explains the short gap between the two records: "Once The Messenger was out, I kept writing.
