This recording is undoubtedly one of the jewels of jazz history: the John Coltrane Quartet, with McCoy Tyner, Jimmy Garrison and Elvin Jones, and the participation of Eric Dolphy. John Coltrane's quartet is at its peak here, Elvin Jones confirming once again his status as one of the greatest percussionists of all time.
