Description

The album "In Electric Time" was recorded in just two days and completely edited in the following two days. It was fully captured in analog by engineer Ben Lumsdaine, who also contributes to the performances on a few tracks. Cooper Crain (from Bitchin Bajas) also makes an appearance; but ultimately, the collection is an intuitive expression of organic electronics conceptualized and created in its context by Jeremiah Chiu alone, drawing on a lifetime of work in sound synthesis to create a dazzling and refreshing sequence of cinematic sketches and ongoing themes. In a way, In Electric Time reflects the direct nature of Raymond Scott's studio electronic recordings—with sharp cuts and room chatter—and, on the other hand, it evokes the instant magic of Harmonia.
