Description

Edge Conditions offers a new approach to the rhythmic electronic music of Jeremiah Chiu. His album Electric Time, released in 2023 and recorded at the Vintage Synth Museum in Los Angeles, had already provided a glimpse into his solo artistic approach and style, quickly becoming a fan favorite. This new work marks a decisive turning point. After two duo albums with ambient tones alongside Marta Sofia Honer and two improvised trance-jazz records with the Los Angeles quintet SML, Edge Conditions immerses Chiu in a world of complex and layered rhythms, sometimes danceable, sometimes soothing, in the vein of classics by Four Tet or Aphex Twin.
