Swedish artist Jens Lekman is releasing reissues of his iconic albums, Oh You're So Silent Jens and Night Falls Over Kortedala, on his Secretly Canadian label. For this occasion, they are renamed The Cherry Trees Are Still in Blossom and The Linden Trees Are Still in Blossom, respectively. Crafted with love and meticulousness, each version retains the same number of tracks and the same spirit as the original, while adding new versions – partial or complete – of certain songs. Both albums also feature rare and previously unreleased tracks. These albums are a way to keep the music alive in a new context. According to Jens, preserved music is dead.
