7th album by Jeanne Cherhal, produced and arranged by Benjamin Biolay. It is a record that lets in space, air, and light. An album that bears the first name of its author. Like a portrait in thirteen tracks that celebrates, more than ever, her freedom. One evening, Benjamin Biolay, who is my friend and my favorite singer, challenged me: he wanted to produce my next album. I had nothing under my belt at the time, but this desire on his part and his encouragements galvanized me, and thirteen songs were born! As soon as I wrote one, I sent him a very simple piano-vocal demo. When we entered the studio, we knew what we wanted: to have fun and to elevate all of this. Wonderfully inspired, Benjamin gave wings to my songs and wrapped them in a sumptuous setting. On the last evening, we wrote and recorded a duet in a few hours, like a rekindling of the flame. This record looks so much like me that its title became obvious, it is called Jeanne, simply!
