The pianist, conductor, composer, and arranger from Argentina Lalo Schifrin is known, among other things, for his film scores (“Bullitt,” “Dirty Harry”...) and series (“Mission Impossible,” “Mannix,” “Starsky and Hutch”...). The pianist and composer Jean-Michel Bernard has, for his part, accompanied Ray Charles in concert during the last three years of his life, and is notably the official composer of the music for Michel Gondry's films. This album mainly focuses on the orchestrations of the film scores composed by Lalo Schifrin, and was born from the friendship that unites the two composers. Notably, Lalo Schifrin appears on three tracks (#12, #14, and #16) as well as Kyle Eastwood (#4), of course, on the music of “The Dirty Harry”...
