Dimple Discs is pleased to announce its first release with legend Jah Wobble - a dub LP & CD, designed around paintings by Wobble himself. This is a solo work in terms of writing, arranging, and performance. The profound influence of Lee Perry and King Tubby can be heard throughout. Jah Wobble is an English bassist and singer. He became known to a wider public as bassist for Public Image Ltd (PiL) in the late 1970s. In the early 1980s, he left the band after two albums amidst great dissension. Following his departure, he embarked on a solo career. In 2012, he reconciled with former bandmate and guitarist Keith Levene for the albums Metal Box in Dub and Yin & Yang. Since 2013, he has been one of the musical experts on BBC Radio 5 Live's The Virtual Jukebox with Dotun Adebayo. His autobiography, Memoirs of a Geezer, was published in 2009. He continues to tour with a two-hour show, often featuring 'Metal Box In Dub' with Siouxsie and the Banshees guitarist, Jon Klein, whom Wobble calls the greatest post-punk guitarist.
