Originally released in 1991 on GWR Records, "Palace Springs" is the last album by Hawkwind featuring Bridget Wishart and Harvey Bainbridge in the band, alongside Dave Brock, Alan Davey, and Richard Chadwick. Recorded between 1989 and 1990, the album includes studio recordings with Simon House on violin and live recordings made at the Palace Theatre in Los Angeles. With stunning performances of classics such as "Time We Left (This World Today)", "Damnation Alley", "Lives of Great Men" (also known as "Assault and Battery") as well as the excellent "Treadmill", this album remains a highly regarded Hawkwind record.
