Description

Hans Nieswandt is a key figure in the Cologne music scene. A pioneering DJ since the 1980s, producer and member of Whirlpool Productions (From Disco To Disco), he contributed to the Sound of Cologne and hosted the radio show Elektronische Melodien on WDR for 12 years. In 2022, he and his band received the Holger Czukay Award for their contribution to German music. Based in Seoul since 2019, he now revisits the influences that shaped his journey, from glam rock to krautrock. His new solo album Fluoreszent (2024) offers ten tracks blending Kraut, Synth Wave, Art Pop and Cosmic. He surrounds himself with prestigious collaborators, including Wolfgang Seidel, Philipp Janzen (Von Spar) and Jorg Burger for mastering, making this album a rich and vibrant musical journey.
