There is no real change with Gravenhurst; it's the same approach all over again. Always his own muted and twilight style, Nick Talbot, singer-songwriter, continues on his path, that is to say, a soft and delicate folk rock, with an airy voice full of restraint. Once again on "The Western Lands," there is never anything superfluous; the melancholic and stripped-down "Song Among the Pine" is a perfect example. The more rock-oriented "Hollow Man" takes the album to new heights, and what can be said about "Trust," light and enchanting. Indeed, nothing should change; we never tire of it.
