The Golden D (2000) is the second solo studio album by Graham Coxon. Written, recorded and produced by the artist, it explores a heavier, punk sound than its predecessor across ten tracks, including the song “Ooochy Woochy”. This twelve-track album also includes two covers: “Fame and Fortune” and “That's When I Reach For My Revolver” by the American post-punk band Mission of Burma. The cover of The Golden D is an original creation by Graham Coxon. The Sky Is Too High and The Golden D are the first albums in a complete reissue of Coxon’s entire solo catalogue, including nine studio albums and two soundtracks, which will be released over the next twelve months. English musician, singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and visual artist Graham Coxon is one of the most innovative guitarists of his generation, notably known as a founding member of blur. He has also released eight solo albums and regularly composes for film and television. His passion for experimental and independent music helped shape Blur’s distinctive sound during their peak years, marked by a string of number one albums that propelled the band to immense popularity in the UK and beyond. This thirst for adventure is also reflected in his solo career, which ranges from folk and krautrock albums to film soundtrack compositions.
