At the end of 1974, George Harrison returned to California to record his next album, Extra Texture (Read All About It), with soul influences.Leon Russell played piano on Tired of Midnight Blue, and for some sessions, Harrison was accompanied by guitarist Jesse Ed Davis, as well as Jim Keltner, Paul Stallworth and David Foster, members of the new band Attitudes, which was later signed by George's brand new label, Dark Horse.
