Cells

Description

Five years after Tancade, unanimously praised by critics, cellist, composer and producer Gaspar Claus returns with CELLS, his new album due out on September 25. After several years of notable collaborations with artists such as Pedro Soler, Bryce Dessner (The National), Sufjan Stevens or Rone, he presents a work conceived with producer Basile3 in a custom-built studio. Driven by tensions between acoustic and digital, Cells explores a sonic universe in constant motion where the cello interacts with electronic transformations. True to a singular artistic approach, nourished by contemporary minimalism and Mediterranean influences, Gaspar Claus unfolds a dense, sensitive and demanding instrumental music here. More complex to create than his previous album, CELLS marks an ambitious new step in an already rich and acclaimed discography.
