Fust, the energetic rock band from Durham, North Carolina, announces their new album Big Ugly, on Dear Life Records, the label that launched the careers of MJ Lenderman and Florry and has become a sanctuary for contemporary singer-songwriters. Recorded in ten days in June 2024, Big Ugly is the explosive sound of Fust discovering freedom in their honest guitar rock, achieving an intimacy in grandeur more than ever before. The members weave their voices alongside guests such as Merce Lemon, Dave Hartley (The War on Drugs), and John James Tourville (The Deslondes). The songs on Big Ugly are of comforting variety, ranging from radio country to elegiac drones and deconstructed ballads. Their debut album Genevieve (2023) was praised by Mojo, KEXP, and Pitchfork.
