Description

Heartfelt was released in 2002; the 7th studio album by the jazz quartet Fourplay. They created a crossover between contemporary jazz, R&B, and pop with this album and began to reach a wider audience, partly due to the success of the tracks "Galaxia" and "That's The Time." Fourplay abandoned their individual processes and decided to record this album by jamming freely in the studio. The strongest tracks on Heartfelt are those written by one or two members in combination; from the title track influenced by Pat Metheny to Nathan East's velvety vocal showcase "Let's Make Love," the quartet's fundamentally conservative taste and aesthetic shine brightly.
