Description

Since almost 3 years, Flora Fischbach has been tinkering in her room, teasingly accompanied by her computer and her faithful Telecaster. Dropping a letter from her surname, she gives birth to Fishbach, a project of occult and wild pop that almost sends shivers down your spine. Armed with her synthesizer, she pulls off the artistic feat of blending new-wave and pop music, composing unusual songs to "pass the time and feelings." Defining herself as a "screamer of silences," Flora sometimes dons the costume of a bandit with a thick and deep voice, and at other times that of a tightrope walker with a high-pitched tone. Inspired by the music she listened to as a child when her parents partied, Fishbach borrows her codes from the pop hits of the 80s (Images, Agathe) but also from a few friends (La Femme, Michelle Blades). Praised by the blogosphere with her stunning covers of the popular Babouche (by Salim Halali) and a treasure named Nightbird (by Bernard Lavilliers), she offers her first EP, recorded at home. Flora receives valuable help from Alf (sound engineer for Air and Phoenix). Between good and bad taste, she reveals a sauce that is both sour and freaky, to be savored at dusk... Fishbach definitely has all the makings of a future great!
