Brian Eno first worked with Rick Holland in the late 1990s on the Map-Making project, a series of collaborations between students from the Royal College, Guildhall School of Music, Royal Academy of Music, Royal College of Music, National Youth Orchestra and English National Ballet, among others. In 2003, Brian and Rick began making music together. The result does not appear on this album. Since that initial session, they have met for rare sessions to work on new compositions. In early 2011, after the release of Small Craft on a Milk Sea (Brian's first album for Warp Records), the pair finally decided to complete their project. Drums Between The Bells is the brilliant result.
