Brian Eno, the grand master of ambient music and a recognized artist, has just announced the release of a new album. Titled Reflexion, this new long-format will contain a 54-minute track and will be available on January 1st on Warp. In a lengthy Facebook post announcing this new album, Brian makes an astonishing comparison: "Artists can be divided into two categories: farmers and cowboys. Farmers occupy a piece of land that they carefully cultivate, finding more and more value in it. Cowboys seek new lands and are excited by the prospect of discovery and the feeling of being somewhere few people have been. I have long thought of myself as a cowboy by temperament, but the fact that the series to which this piece belongs has been ongoing for four decades now makes me think there is a great deal of farmer in me."
