In The Infinite

Description

Jason Grimez is a DJ and producer based in Cincinnati. He collaborates with some of the best studio musicians in Cincinnati to create raw and soulful instrumental hip-hop under the name Doctor Bionic. In 2015, Jason Grimez launched his independent label Chiefdom Records. He writes, records, produces, and mixes his releases. He draws inspiration from all types of music - instrumental hip-hop, soul, classic rock, jazz, and more. In The Infinite brings together some of the best musicians from the Cincinnati scene. Cameron Brown played guitar on several tracks. Award-winning pianist Brian Batchelor-Glader also contributed to the recording. The 12 tracks provide the perfect backdrop for spending time with friends or for a drive. Jazzy trumpet lines, a steady and solid drumbeat, ethereal keyboards, soulful guitar licks, and much more. "Do You Remember?" features a pop guitar and a head-nodding bass line. The scratches and tape-recorded drums on "Plastic Art" resemble an early 1980s hip-hop instrumental.
