A year after "Era", Disappears returns with "Irreal", a new album to be released on January 19, also via Kranky. The Chicago post-punk band also announced a European tour, including several dates in France. This album was produced by the faithful John Congleton (St.Vincent, The Polyphonic Spree, Anna Calvi) at Electrical Audio studio in Chicago (Illinois). It deals with themes of "eternity, robot-ethics, and identity" according to an official statement from independent label Kranky Records.
