Big Crown Records is proud to present the first 45 RPM record by Derya Yildirim & Grup Simsek on the label. In the summer of 2024, they traveled to New York to record their new album with Leon Michels (Clairo, Lady Wray, Norah Jones) producing. These are the first two tracks from those sessions, and they are very indicative of their upcoming album. "Cool Hand" is a beautiful juxtaposition of intensity and lightness, with lyrics that explore the depths of unrequited love, while the music is catchy and bright. Derya's passionate voice and the fiery Saz playing soar over the band's infectious groove. "Yakamoz" is a deeply moving song that captures the emotions related to displacement and grief.
