Initially recorded in 2020 at the heart of a global pandemic, the band came together to record a live film in their practice space in Los Angeles, California. Revisited and remastered in 2024, pressed for the very first time on a beautiful splattered vinyl."Wow! Realizing this project was such an honor and a delight! We finished recording our album Under the Spell of Joy one day before the lockdown. Releasing an album under normal circumstances is a huge and very demanding job. Then discovering how to release an album with compassion, respect, and success during a global disaster, and especially an album about spells and incantations of joy, was a real puzzle. Working on this live recording during that time allowed us to! We focused on how we could be most helpful in a world of sorrow and we were forced to be creative. We were desperate to be of service. We realized astral projection - and the concept of leaving the 3D experience was an exciting idea. Connecting people on the astral plane, we wouldn't have to feel so alone! So we decided to start the session with an introduction on how to astral project. Learning to meditate on this concept turned out to be the most beautiful gift, and a true gift! a lasting escape during this terrible time. This recording finally available on vinyl is so exciting! The idea that we could all meet in the sky and leave some of our problems behind is such a fun exercise! All you have to do is drop that needle and fly!
