Craig Finn unveils his fourth album, I Need a New War, with finely crafted songwriting and filled with emotion. I Need A New War, the 4th solo album by Craig Finn, was recorded in 2018 at The Isokon in Woodstock (NY) with producer Josh Kaufman and engineer D. James Goodwin, who had already teamed up with Finn on his previous critically acclaimed solo albums. "Going into it, I saw this record as the third part of a trilogy," says Craig Finn. The third album of a trilogy, after Faith in the Future in 2015 and We All Want The Same Things in 2017, I Need A New War once again sees Finn expertly chronicling our complex modern era, often disorienting. He also addresses New York, his city for the past 18 years. Several of Craig Finn's regular collaborators are present on this new album, including horn master Stuart Bogie (Antibalas), pianist Sam Kassirer, singers Annie Nero and Cassandra Jenkins, and the extraordinary drummer Joe Russo.
