While in this post-lockdown period, records recorded in isolation are flooding in, Cléa Vincent opens the doors to elsewhere with Tropi-Cléa 3. An elsewhere that cannot be explored without the other, tinged with warm colors and set with bursts of light when the shadow comes too close. But Tropi-Cléa 3 was not born within four walls. On the contrary, it was born unknowingly in 2017, during a tour in Central America. With her musicians, Cléa travels through Guatemala, Panama, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Honduras... Quickly, the group is adopted by an audience that lets itself be charmed by the French touch, both romantic and subtle, of Cléa's songs. Thus, these six new tracks draw from Latin music, the jazz roots in which Cléa Vincent honed her skills, from bossa nova to samba. From her first album, Retiens mon désir (2016), Cléa Vincent established her irresistible pop jousts, managed to speak a universal language in French, which she confirmed with Nuits sans sommeil (2019). Tropi-Cléa 3, which closes the triptych of a tropical parenthesis begun in 2017, is a new - and luminous - demonstration of this.
