This second opus, Your Day Will Come, showcases a striking sonic evolution for Chanel Beads: the sound is enriched by new compositions and new musicians. Violinist Zachary Paul is more present, while Lavers continues to explore the symbolism of plugins. Maya McGrory's ethereal voice resonates once again on the album, and she co-wrote the majestic track "Silver Cup". These 14 tracks, more fleshed out and structured, are the result of a collaborative approach that embraced spontaneity and imperfections. Informal meetings allowed friends like Tchad Cousins (Urika's Bedroom), Mari Maurice (More Eaze), Anastasia Coope, and Bella Litsa to contribute to the album. "Dust in the Wind" is a collaboration with Isaac Eiger of Strange Ranger and Threshold, marking the first co-writing outside the trio. Though the stages have grown larger, the spirit of Chanel Beads remains resolutely underground. Emotional sublimation is at the heart of Chanel Beads, as if one could clench so tightly onto something that it becomes transcendent. Drawing from personal experiences, Your Day Will Come uses dream logic to explore liminality and the fragility of memory. The album is tinged by the specters of specific losses, but also by the way one can haunt oneself by falling back into old habits.
