Description

Ceremonia is the first collaboration between singer-songwriter Luvi Torres and producer Chancha Via Circuito. Combining Luvi's exceptional voice with Chancha's powerful and creative rhythms, the lyrics include mantras that Luvi uses in her therapeutic exercises, immersing us in a musical world of healing. Taken as a whole, the album's four tracks, "Abro" ("I open"), "Creo" ("I believe" or "I create"), "Sano" ("I heal"), and "Amo" ("I love") encourage a sensitive receptivity. Luvi's vocals are enveloped by a lush ambient dub. Chancha Via Circuito's rhythms and vibrations create a comforting and soothing soundscape that invites a sense of timelessness and expansion. At times, Ceremonia spirals hypnotically, blurring the distinction between the internal and external worlds. This music calls for attentive listening and encourages active individual and collective reinvention.
