CAR SEAT HEADREST Car Seat Headrest is the project of Will Toledo, a young American singer-songwriter who, in his early twenties, already has a discography worthy of an established artist! Will Toledo grew up in a backwater town in Virginia, Leesburg, where he began his first recordings very early on, in a very DIY and introverted manner. Most of his songs were composed and recorded in his parents' car or on his laptop, far from the ears of his loved ones... In 2010, Will began sharing tracks online under the name Car Seat Headrest. As a member of the university radio station, he made some acquaintances who are now part of his band. In the space of five years, Will Toledo released eleven self-produced albums on Bandcamp under the moniker Car Seat Headrest. Now based in Seattle, he signed with the Matador label for his "first" album, which compiles the best tracks from his discography.
