Description

Dubbed "one of the most gifted songwriters of the moment" by Les Inrocks when Twin Fantasy was released in 2018, Car Seat Headrest has announced their third album, "Making A Door Less Open," due out May 1st on Matador Records. Conceived over 4 years of work, the opus is the result of a fruitful collaboration between Car Seat Headrest, led by frontman Will Toledo, and 1 Trait Danger, a more electronic-oriented side project of the band featuring drummer Andrew Katz and Toledo's alter ego, "Trait." To create this album, the band recorded it twice: once using traditional guitar, bass, and drums; then a second time piloting synths via MIDI. The result is one of the most dynamic and perhaps the most accessible albums the band has delivered to date.
