The opening/title track "The Pendulum" begins with a melodic rush, head-banging and thrashy - setting the stage for the raw and unfiltered demo cuts to follow. Says the brain of the group Leif Edling: "The Pendulum" is hard riffing, epic choruses, and a total fanatical illusion. It is, in fact, the last thing for which I wrote the "The Door of Destiny" album but didn't have time to finish it. Here it is in its grand/crazy glory with a great mix by Niklas Flyckt, and produced by Marcus Jidell. It is followed by five unreleased demos from "The Door of Destiny" sessions because the whole sha-bang was originally supposed to be a double effort but was ultimately reduced to a single album.
