"Abraçaço" concludes the trilogy that Caetano Veloso recorded with BandaCê. Like its two predecessors, the album was produced by Moreno Veloso and Pedro Sá. But its theme ultimately turned out to be broader than originally intended by the singer. Veloso's guitar is prominently featured on most of the songs on the album. The title of the album - an expression used by Veloso which, according to him, suggests not only a warm embrace but even a more general, encompassing embrace - is borrowed from the song "Um Abraçaço" and reinforces the idea of a broader concept. "Abraçaço" thus appears as the continuation of the adolescent "Cê" and the recent "Zii and Zie".
