Meu coco

Description

The Bahian Caetano Veloso is one of the major musicians of Brazilian popular music (MPB). Some even consider him one of the greatest songwriters of the 20th century, alongside Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, John Lennon or Paul McCartney. Caetano began his career performing bossa nova songs, under the influence of João Gilberto, one of the icons and founders of the bossa nova movement, and who also helped bring about the emergence of MPB. Throughout his career, Veloso has also become one of the most controversial and most prominent figures in Brazilian public opinion, alongside Gilberto Gil with whom he collaborated. A songwriter and musician, his songs have always transcended borders, generations and trends; and his contribution to Latin culture is immeasurable. Highly anticipated, his new album ‘’Meu Coco’’ is a great journey into his creative process, influenced by decades of career.
