SUFFIT JUSTE D'UNE SECONDE

Description

For 10 years, Cachemire has been shaking up French Rock, 10 years that the Nantes band has been rattling our bones with corrosive guitars, pounding drums, and caustic lyrics. “Suffit Juste d'Une Seconde” is no exception to the rule. On this new album, aficionados will rediscover with delight the “Cachemire fiber.” But time has the virtue of allowing things to develop a patina. Over the course of a decade, Cachemire’s coat has become leather that has been refined. The lyrics are still just as biting, clear, direct, pointing the finger at our flaws, our absurdities, our clumsiness, without ever preaching. And the band does not deny any of its abrasive Punk — or even Metal — digressions. But “Suffit Juste d'Une Seconde” marks, without a doubt, a return to the foundations. To the roots. Rock. Pure. Simple. Impactful. The 13 short melodic films are effective. Very effective. They are tight, powerful, and straightforward. It is cut with a hatchet. Cut for the stage. Cut from rock.
