For its second series of reissues of the legendary Texan rock band Butthole Surfers' catalog, Matador Records focuses on the 1984-1991 period. In 1987, the band unveiled ‘Locust Abortion Technician’. From the first track, ‘Sweet Loaf,’ quoting Black Sabbath for a result as hilarious as it is mind-blowing, and all the way to the fuzz of ‘22 Going On 23,’ the album is a full breath of hallucinogenic gas described by many as the opus that fully revealed the band's potential.
