A musical electro-surrealist journey in the spirit of Bruce Haack "The Captain" – capturing his inventive genius in tandem with the childlike voice within him, songs of innovative stories inspired by Bruce Haack's diverse musical interests and a love for science and explorations of the natural world, songs to excite the imagination of listeners, both young and old. Ahead of his time and beyond any categorization, Bruce Haack continued to create while seeking new platforms to promote his electronic music. He participated in numerous advertisements in the 1960s and promoted electronic music on television. He self-released his first children's music album in 1968. Shimmy Disc presents the reissue of Captain Entropy (1973), remastered by Kramer, on the occasion of its fiftieth anniversary. Bruce constantly added new genres and inspirations to his compositions and was greatly influenced by the psychedelic rock of the time. He created many albums aimed at youth, drawing from science fiction, psychedelia, and electronics, using traditional song structures to capture children's attention for educational purposes, all while donning one of his many characters. He dedicated his life to exploring, inventing, and sharing his eclectic humor and numerous musical viewpoints. Despite fragile health, he never ceased to pursue his musical dreams.
