After a critically acclaimed debut album in 2011 (the superb *Native Speaker*) and on the heels of their upcoming EP *In Kind // Amends* in June, Montreal's BRAIDS are making a grand return with the release of their second album, *Flourish // Perish*, on August 19th via Full Time Hobby. After 18 months of intense touring and following the departure of one of its members, the Montreal-based band locked themselves in their studio for a full year to put together this new opus, with a sound decidedly different from its predecessor.
