Boygenius is back. This American indie-folk-rock supergroup composed of singer-songwriters Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridgers, and Lucy Dacus returns after 3 years of absence with a no-holds-barred album titled 'The record'. Behind this name initially given as a joke lies the idea that men grow up with the notion that their voice matters, that their ideas are brilliant, that "guys are geniuses" while women grow up with the idea that they should listen instead of speaking. Initially fans of each other's work, the 3 artists become friends and record a 6-track EP 'Boygenius', skillfully merging their respective universes into a blend of indie rock folk that also captivates Hayley Williams of Paramore, who offers them a spot on one of her tracks.
