Initially scheduled for release on March 31st. Boygenius is back. This American indie-folk-rock supergroup, consisting of singer-songwriters Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridgers, and Lucy Dacus, returns after a three-year absence with an uncompromising album titled 'The record'. Behind this name, initially given as a joke, lies the idea that men grow up believing their voices matter, that their ideas are brilliant, that "guys are geniuses," while women grow up believing they should listen instead of speaking. Initially fans of each other's work, the three artists became friends and recorded a 6-track EP, 'Boygenius', skillfully merging their respective universes into an indie rock folk blend that even captivated Hayley Williams of Paramore, who featured them on one of her tracks.
